The Guelph Flounders is pleased to announce the 30th Annual College Royale Tournament.
The tournament will be held at the Gold Pool in the University of Guelph Athletics
Centre (as always) and will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 8am-4pm and Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 11am-1pm.
The games will all be 6-on-6.
Schedule
The schedule is now up and posted - see below (let us know if you have trouble accessing it).
Games
will be 18 minutes total (2x 8min halves, 2 min half-time).
The registration table opens at 7:30am, the captains meeting
will be at 7:45am - EVERY TEAM NEEDS TO BE REPRESENTED!!!
Games will start at 8am SHARP!!!
All teams are guarenteed
7 games between (partial) round-robin and playoffs. The adult teams are having a partial round-robin and the junior
teams are having a double round-robin. All junior teams will also be playing one adult team - these games WILL NOT count
for points for a win, tie or loss; however, if one team forfeits they will lose 3 points.
Win = +2 points, Tie = +1 point,
Loss = 0 points, Forefeit = -3 points
If there is a tie in seeding calculations then the team with the least number of
goals against will be higher ranked, if there is still a tie then the team with the most points for will be higher ranked.
Reffing
will be by Minnesota Rule (2 water refs and 2 deck refs, 1 from each team).
Teams will be allowed to have a full team of
12 playing in games (aka 6 subs allowed).
Remember that proper head gear and mouth guards are mandetory.
Divisions
Registration is now closed to new teams. We have a total of 15 teams confirmed, 12 adult (Guelph, MSU
X2, Champaign, Cincinnati, Cornwall, Ottawa, York, Brampton, London, Peterborough, GMU) and 3 junior (Calgary, Roger Bacon
x2). If any of this is inaccurate please let me know ASAP!
As a result of this we will only be running the adult and junior
division (only 2 A teams came through). It will still make for a great tournament though!
Registration
$350 CAD per team of up to 12 people, $30 CAD for lone players. Registration
does include the banquet on Saturday night this year. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 13, 2009.
Late
fees are $25/team and $5/lone player.

The banquet will be held at the Cutton Club (golf course on the north side

a little fancy seemed to be called for. There is a slight dress code in effect, please adhere to it!
Cutten Club Dress
Code
The purpose of the Dress Code is to provide members and guests with a guide to appropriate dress when visiting the
Cutten Club. We require you to ensure all people attending your event are aware of our policy and adhere to it.
1. Denim
of any colour and article of clothing is not permitting anywhere in the Clubhouse or on the property.
2. Athletic headware
is not permitted to be worn in the Clubhouse.
3. Absolutely no use of cellphones in the Clubhouse.
You can wear whatever
you want for pants... just not jeans (aka they don't have to be dress pants). Please remember this when packing.

Holiday Inn is offering a special package to teams (see pdf).
There will also be limited sleeping space at the hockey
